Fernhill Youth Project - bringing
people of the Cynon Valley together. 22-24 February 2002
Two years ago Craig Davies started a cybercafe with a
Millennium Grant on the Fernhill Estate in the Cynon Valley, South Wales. He
could hardly have dreamed that it was the start of an initiative on the Fernhill
Estate that would bring together people from all sections of the community eager
to breath new life into the area.
Many of them met for a teambuilding weekend at Clyne Farm
Centre run by NCompass' Suryiah Evans and Clyne Farm facilitators. They included
representatives from the local authority, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Save the Children,
Groundworks Trust, National Assembly, Fernhill residents and Assembly Member
Christine Chapman .
