Set Ride Times
On Saturdays and Sundays we have set
lesson/hack times (rides can be booked at other times) where we will try
to match the age and ability of each rider. Each rider will be put into a class of other
riders of a similar ability and this will be their set lesson time for each
week. Instructors will notify each rider
of which ride they are most suited to. They will also notify each
rider when they are ready to move up to the next ability level.
The set ride times will be every Saturday and Sunday, and depending how
they go may be extended into the weekdays during the school holidays.
The regular lessons will allow instructors to follow a more
structured lesson plan and link in with the Horseshoe Awards for those
taking part in them.
While the evenings are lighter we are offering rides after school
and into the evenings. These must be booked at least two days in
advance and need 24 hours notice of cancellation.
Lessons All
lessons take place in our 20 x 45m all weather riding arena. This
has a sand and rubber chip surface which is good to ride on. The sand is
a special quarried sand which remains firm and doesn't blow around
Our pub rides have become popular particularly
in the summer or late morning at weekends. They take you across Clyne
Common with views over Swansea Bay and further into Gower. Stop for a
meal at the historic Plough and Harrow pub in Bishopston for a meal (no
alcohol!) or for additional cost we can supply a picnic hamper to eat on
the village green. Pub rides are for the more experienced rider.
Important: Riders need to arrive at least fifteen minutes before their ride
time so there is time for them to pay, be fitted for hats at reception
and, on first visit, fill in a short Registration Form. With our set ride times, rides must go out at the
correct time, so any late arrivals risk the ride leaving without them!
