Clyne Farm Centre - Garryowen young
rugby players cross the water to register big St Patrick's Weekend wins in Wales
There was a time when
rugby teams came over from Ireland more for the social side than the
rugby - not any more! The pick of Limerick's under 13s from Garryowen
RFC were full value for their big wins against both Bishop Gore School
and Mumbles - they even wanted to play a third fixture but couldn't find
any opposition at short notice!
Our pictures show
something of Day One of the tour - starting with Liam, Jack (Jack who?) and the other
enthusiastic supporters who watched coaches Joe and Derek guide the team
to victory.
In the afternoon it was
off to Clyne Farm's famed Challenge Valley which probably caused as much
of a problem to the squad as the morning's game.
We end with two fine
action shots of one of the tour's leading lights - view these photos
together if you can for a study in coordinated arm movement!!!!!!!!!!
Well done lads, well
done mums and dads - both
on and off the pitch you have been a credit to your country - come back
again next year! |
